MOO PSI STEPPERS 2010 STOMPOUT SET FOR MAY 8

The 11th Annual Step Competition will be held Saturday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in Springbank Auditorium at West Potomac High School, Alexandria, Va. Competing step teams will show their creativity and talent by presenting a routine of choice that addresses STOMPING OUT underage drinking, violence, bullying or even obesity.

Step shows are extremely popular and adding a prevention theme allows our youth to “speak out” through the art of stepping, according to Burnette Scarboro, coordinator of the South County Youth Network, sponsor of the event.  “All coaches and sponsors play an integral part in training our future leaders,” Scarboro said.  “Steppers are learning lessons now that will hopefully allow them to become contributing adults in their communities.”

Pre-sale tickets are $7 and available at West Potomac High School. Tickets are $10 the day of the show. South County Youth Network is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is one of the 19 school-community coalitions for Fairfax County Public Schools.
